We specialise in designing, supplying, installing and thereafter supporting customised cabling systems. All data and voice cabling installations are covered by a twelve-month warranty from the date of the installations. All data installations will be tested to the current industry standard using calibrated test equipment. All voice installations will be to BS 6701 specification and electrical installations will comply with appendix 16 of the 15th edition of the IEEE Regulations. KCP can offer installation services for the following cabling systems; Ethernet Thickwire & Thinwire, IBM, Premises Distribution System, Fibre Optic, Telecommunications, Twisted Pair, Coax, DEC Connect 423, RS232, RS422 & Appletalk. Installations are fully tested on completion with the latest testing equipment and all result plans and schematics are provided to the customer.
We can provide help and assistance with most types of telecommunications from a basic telephone line through to global network communications for International Companies encompassing corporate internet connectivity which includes leased lines down to an ADSL connection. We also have trained technicians who specialise in network security using the Cisco range of routers/firewalls for global and internet based communications.
We are very involved with the emerging technologies like server virtualization and cloud based technologies so with this technical knowledge and background it enables us to give up-to-date impartial advice to ensure the solution we recommend will achieve the clients objectives now and in the foreseeable future.
KCP can provide the human resources to either compliment our client’s in-house technical staff or we can organise the complete installation from initiation to completion.
We can also provide project management services for the larger installation or office relocation including liasing with subcontractors to achieve the clients objectives.
The core activity is the maintenance and support of PC based Local Area Networks, covering the hardware, operating system and most “off the shelf” software packages. This level of service means the client is not caught in the hardware/software trap where they are in the middle with either the hardware vendor blaming the software or vice versa.
KCP can offer annual support contracts individually tailored to meet your particular needs, this can range from an engineer attending the next business day to 24 hour cover, 7 days a week, whatever you need to keep your company in business.
All other services that do not fall under the contract e.g. installing new equipment would be charged at our standard rates which are as follows:
Standard rates – work under taken between 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday
£85.00 per hour
Time and half rate – work under taken between 6pm to 9am Mon – Fri & all Saturday
£127.50 per hour
Double time rate – work under taken on Sundays and UK bank Holidays
£170.00 per hour
